Договоренности между развитыми странами об устранении или снижении импортных тарифов на отдельные виды экспортной продукции развивающихся стран. Система льгот начала внедряться в 1971 г. с целью стимулирования развития и диверсификации экспорта продукции из развивающихся стран. Однако положительное влияние преференций было подорвано созданием различных таможенных союзов, в которые развивающиеся страны не входят, а также введением множества оговорок, позволяющих отступать от установленных ранее правил.
